Community Support Fund 2022

In March 2023, we made an Application to Mayo County Council for funding via the Department of Rural and Community Development COMMUNITY SUPPORT FUND 2022.

We recently received approval for Capital Funding of €665 (for Defibrillator Accessories) and Current Funding of €195 towards Utilities Costs - (electricity).

The Community Hall received a very kind donation of a Defibrillator but it required new accessories (Battery, Pads and Cabinet). So we can now go ahead and purchase these items and locate a Defib in the Building in the near future.

Utilities costs for the Community Hall have risen at an alarming rate so any contribution, such as this funding, towards electricity costs is very welcome indeed.

This money was used to purchase the following products for use in the Straide Davitt Community Hall and for works carried out in the Hall, as follows:

  • A Zanussi Cooker

  • A Whirlpool Dishwasher

A sincere Thank You to Pobal for the support, it makes a huge difference to the operation of the Hall which is of great benefit to our community.
